COVID-19 Community Repsonse
The MDA continued with our emergency response during the long Winter and early Spring months. Our volunteers kept up an exceptional support network that covered all vulnerable residents in the district. Staff and volunteers responded to around 100 calls per month from people looking for everything from medication collected to welfare advice assistance.
Our volunteer network was glad to be able to assist families and individuals who had been hit hard financially during the crisis and took many requests for help from friends and family members of those affected.
Our volunteers and staff also continued with the delivery of
food parcels to senior residents and the vulnerable
throughout Winter and early Spring. Delivery days were a
fairly big operation but our experienced team worked hard to
ensure that our older generation was well looked after.
