Féile na hAbhann 2023
Féile na hAbhann is a joint partnership between the 3 communities of the Market, Short Strand and Lower Ormeau. It is led by the 3 overarching community groups in those areas, the Market Development Association, Short Strand Community Forum and LORAG, along with cross cutting partner groups in those 3 areas including An Droichead and CRJ.
Féile na hAbhann got off to a great start this year with the fun filled family fun day along the River Lagan, with a fabulous line-up of free music, watersports, culture, kids activities, food, arts and crafts, there was lots to keep everyone entertained!
The festival has really become a highlight in Belfast’s summer calander and continues to grow each year, with 2023 seeing a bigger and better celebration and expansion into the Gasworks site.
Tuesday 8th August saw over 400 people of all ages attend the sold out Trad Night in St George’s Market. It was a great night enjoying music from the incredible Kila and wonderful support from Brendan Quinn, John McSherry and Fra McIllduff.
